The Rule of Thirds
The photo is positioned to the right side because that is where the imaginary lines intersect. The most important elements are positioned along those lines so that the photo can be more interesting.

Lines

Framing
The photo building and proud which is surrounding the human is causing a frame and is isolating the main subject from most of the world. It draws the audiences attention to the main subject, in this case it is the human.

Avoiding Merges
The photo below is not avoiding merges because the signs are in the way of the background, it isn't a plain and simple background. This makes the audience a little confused because they aren't sure what to focus on.

Symmetry and Patterns
This photo shows symmetry in a way because the paper around the main subject which is the woman because it shows shapes which could be symmetric. The symmetry in the photo was not expected and is natural and it contains a main point.

Viewpoint
This photo shows the empire states building before they were attacked, this could possibly be a viewpoint because it is taken from a higher elevation than other pictures and mainly focuses on the empire state building.

Create depth
This photo is creating depth because the Statue of Liberty is an object in the middle ground, the attracts audiences because it is appealing due to the fact that there are many layers.
